A fantastic glimpse into the lives of real D/s couples in various stages of their relationships. Ms. Rika breaks through the emotions and issues involved and gets to the core of a dominant's responsibilities within the power dynamic in an interesting and compelling way. Her "CERAF" concept makes sense and is easily followed by anyone - including those new to this type of relationship. While her first book, "Uniquely Rika," is not required reading prior to this one, it certainly helps lay the foundation and provide an overall understanding of a female lead relationship. I highly encourage anyone interested in this way of life to read both books.

Lends amazing clarity to a non-traditional relationship!!

I thoroughly enjoyed Ms Rika's first book Uniquely Rika and now this one. She has a very positive view of what a great D/s relationship can be - and is able to show us that through the couples she's used as examples.
Both her books have yielded several "ah-ha" moments for me… I don't necessarily agree with every single thing she says, but she does provide a lot of food for thought, and her clarity is quite amazing. I have not found anyone who can break down what makes a D/s relationship work like she can. And I use what I've learnt on a daily basis with my significant other.
If the subject matter she writes about fascinates you as it does me, you can continue to follow the further evolution of her thoughts on FetLife where she has a discussion group called Rika's Lair.

Firmly grounded in real world relationship dynamics

If you are looking for a realistic viewpoint of workable female led relationships, this is it. Order "Uniquely Rika" along with this one and read it first - they should be sold as a set, for each one imparts it's own knowledge. For years I had read femdom books where something didn't seem "quite right" - it was hard to distinguish what was punishment, reward, work, and play in D/s relationship. Ms Rika makes it all clear, cutting through murky relationship waters to show practitioners, and would to be practitioners of FLR's a clearer path to success. This and "Uniquely Rika" are the two best books on FLR I've ever read! Bravo!
